helping trauma become transformation — safely, deeply, experientially.
a place where all of you is welcome — to begin again, from the inside out.
If you’re carrying complex trauma, feeling far from yourself, or just craving space to be without performing — this is a soft place to land. A place where all of you is welcome. A place to begin again, from the inside out.
Where the parts of you that learned to go quiet finally find their voice — and the self you’ve been carrying all along begins to emerge.
This is the work of becoming. Of returning. Of remembering what’s always lived inside you — trusting — and letting it lead.
how experiential therapy actually works
Talking can only take you so far. Experiential therapy goes deeper — we turn inward to gently listen for the emotions, body signals, and long-silenced parts of you that never had the chance to be fully felt, seen, understood, or met with care — and are still waiting to be known and integrated.
It’s focused, guided, and grounded in real care and connection.
This is work that meets you where you are — fully, gently, and without judgment. It’s not about fixing you. It’s about finally turning toward what’s been buried — and helping it move, shift, and integrate.
This is where stuck begins to soften. Where pain stops running the show.
Where tears come with meaning. Where shaking hands or a sudden warmth in your chest tells you something old is finally being released.
Where the parts of you that longed for connection finally get to speak — and something new, something true, begins to take shape.
This is the beginning of returning home to yourself — not just as you were, but as you’re becoming.
Michael Mondoro, LCSW is a licensed trauma therapist who helps people come home to themselves —gently, deeply, and with lasting change.
His work is experiential and depth-oriented, drawing from AEDP, EMDR, IFS, and somatic modalities to gently support the unfolding of each person’s inner wisdom and resilience. Rather than focusing on what’s broken.
Michael meets clients in the truth of their experience and works collaboratively to foster integration, vitality, and emotional freedom.
Licensed in New York and Connecticut, Michael works with adults navigating anxiety, emotional intensity, relational pain, identity exploration, and the lingering effects of overwhelming or early life experiences. He has a particular affinity for working with those who feel cut off from themselves —whether due to shutdown, chronic stress, or post-trauma stress — and offers a grounded, compassionate space for people to gradually come home to themselves.
In addition to his clinical work, Michael teaches and supervises fellow therapists as an adjunct faculty member and certified supervisor with the AEDP Institute.
At the heart of his approach is the belief that healing is not about fixing, but about rediscovering what’s already within — often just waiting for the right conditions to emerge.
